Christmas 2024

Christmas 2024 was a busy time for the band with Six Christmas concerts! Thank you to all our appreciative audiences who came to support us at Hyde Chapel in Gee Cross, Heald Green Village Hall, Hawk Green Cricket Club, St Thomas’ Church, Ch”eadle Golf Club and North Cheshire Cruising Club in High Lane. Our concerts featured a selection of traditional Christmas arrangements such as “A Christmas Fantasy” “Merry Christmas Everybody” “12 Days of Christmas” and “The Snowman” as well as some new arrangements including “Christmas Eve in Sarajevo” and “Christmas is Coming”. Also featured were some fabulous solos including an arrangement of In the Bleak Midwinter performed by our Musical Director, Neil Hewson at St Thomas’.

As well as the concerts we enjoyed playing out and about in the local community. Starting early on 30th the band performed in Houldsworth Square, Reddish for the turning on of their Christmas lights as well as our usual busking on Marple Precinct.
