On Friday 12th July we had the pleasure of returning to St Thomas’ Church for our annual Summer Concert. The audience were treated to an entertaining and exciting programme featuring some of our favourite pieces to perform including “A Disney Fantasy”, “MacArthur Park” and “Out of Africa”. Another wet day in Blackburn! Sunday 9th June saw the band return to Darwen town centre to play at Blackburn and Darwen bands annual March Contest. We opened the second half of the contest playing “Mephistopheles” and “The day Thou Gavest”. We were unable to retain our best 3rd Section title from last year but…
